Toms River- John J. Scanapico passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Fl. He was 84.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, He lived in Valley Stream, Long Island before moving to Toms River 25 years ago.

Prior to retiring, he worked in the Rail Department for the NY Transit Authority.

John is a Korean War Veteran.

He Always Thought of His Family.

After A Medical Incident in 2013, John Has Lived with His Daughter Denise, and His Son In Law, Daniel, Since 2014....

Surviving is His Wife Diana DePasquale Scanapico. 3 Daughters: Colette DeLuca, Connie Romeo and Denise Scanapico. Also 6 Grandchildren, Christopher, Michelle, Danielle, Gina, Jessica, and Johnathan. And Also, a Great-Grandchild, Adam. Compassion To All.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5th at 12 noon at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
